Saturday, August 3, 2019, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Montevalle Community Hall

Which foods are proven to increase cognitive function? What are the most common vitamin deficiencies in seniors? Can you list the most important supplements for seniors? What are the results of the latest scientific nutritional studies on aging? Are there natural alternatives to prescription drugs?

To shed light on the subject of nutrition for seniors, Scotts Valley Senior Life Association (SVLA) is sponsoring the educational workshop, “Nutrition Essentials for Seniors.” Popular holistic nutritionist, researcher and author, Richard B. Goldberg, PhD, will present the latest scientific research findings and practical information about how specific nutrients can bring about improvements in our health and well-being.

Other research topics that will be presented include:  the 15 most common health concerns for seniors, the healthiest diet for seniors, why magnesium is called the anti-aging miracle, increasing energy and enhancing mood with herbs, anti-aging skin care secrets, and more…

Plus, get your personal questions answered by Richard Goldberg, PhD, in the Q&A session. Bring a friend or two to this fact-filled educational workshop.

A reception will follow with a smorgasbord of "healthy" snacks and beverages:  coconut water, herbal iced tea, kombucha, sugar-free electrolyte drinks, and natural energy drinks, in addition to natural snacks like fruit and nut trail mix, sprouted pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and natural sugar-free cookies and chocolates. Enjoy this opportunity to sample new health food items you may not be familiar with.

A minimum $2 donation is requested at the door. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

RSVP to Maxine at (831) 600-8440 by July 29th for best seats! Drop-ins are always welcome on a space available basis.
